Strategy/Usage[]
Note: This guide assumes you have all of this character’s upgrades maxed.
Minato is AMAZING in the Keido arc. His ability to stack buffs makes the bosses look like jokes. However, this character has a few weaknesses.
Minato is basically unusable in the Trumpet Gang arc. This is due to the “breaks” automatically resetting the character and buffs. The Xenon arc has the same issue, but not as much. One could start stacking their buffs at the start of the Ineur arc, but it would be difficult since the enemies could take you out very easily. If you want to stack during the Mountain Obby segment, STAY AT SPAWN. Once the obby is completed, you would fall into the void. If you stay at spawn, you would already be in the boss room. During the fight with Cielo de la Asad in the Ineur arc, you could use that time to stack before attacking him as he doesn’t attack unless you get closer to him (you have to stay at spawn and stack). Make sure to stack until you can kill him in a few hits. Cielo can take you out pretty easily. 750 damage per bullet is not enough to kill him before he kills you.
During the Keido arc, it’s best to start stacking after killing the KC Supporters in Studdton. The boss after that act’s attacks are very easy to dodge and by the time he spawns, you’d be able to take him out quickly.
Stacking buffs makes Minato very vulnerable, especially in the act with General Keido. It’s suggested that you use your R ability before every fight so you do not die and lose all your buffs. It’s best to stack during cutscenes or when you aren’t being targeted.
When you have a ton of buffs stacked, DO NOT MOVE AROUND TOO MUCH. The massive speed boost could cause you to go through thin walls, leading you into the void and dying, which makes you lose your buffs.
Minato is most effective against the fight against Lewis Citadel. As long as he isn’t let inside the dojo, you can stack for as long as you want. Lewis would get stuck behind the wall. Just keep your distance from him and don’t get hit by his glowing blue square which, thankfully, moves really slowly.
TL;DR : only stack buffs during Ineur/Keido arc. Stack when safe. Don’t die.

Trivia[]
- A user by the name of Minethetekit helped AsrielMemer create Minato's moves.
- The character is heavily based off of Minato Arisato, the protagonist in Persona 3. Ironically, in the game Persona 3, in order to summon your Persona to attack, the protagonist has to shoot themselves in the head with a gun called an Evoker. The Evoker does not actually hurt the protagonist, unlike Minato's F does in Devil Beater.
- Minato's R, Shouting cry, is based off of Orpheus Telos' move, Victory Cry but instead of healing half of Minato's health, it only heals a small bit of his health.
- Minato is usually known for turning from an exclusive to a secret and then being mass leaked.
